An Adams man has pleaded guilty in Berkshire Superior Court to sexual assault charges. 38 year old FRED O. GREER appeared before Judge Daniel Ford.
GREER pleaded guilty to one (1) count of RAPE and one (1) count of INDECENT ASSAULT AND BATTERY ON A PERSON WHO HAS ATTAINED 14. Judge Ford ordered that he serve 1 year to 1 year and 1 day at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction on the RAPE charge. GREER was placed on 1 year probation on the other charge on the condition he remain drug and alcohol free, undergo testing and wear a GPS monitor during the probationary period.
The incident occurred in Adams on April 2, 2011 and involved a 56 year old woman.
The investigation was conducted by members of the Adams Police Department.
