Leonard M. Fogelman is of counsel to Fogelman Law and is also of counsel to the Korngut Paleudis Law Firm in New York.  He was a founding partner of Fogelman & Fogelman LLC and remained in that role from 2010 until 2020.

Mr. Fogelman is a well-known expert in alcoholic beverage law and regulations. He has a legal specialization in the alcohol beverage and hospitality industries.  He is widely regarded as one of the leading authorities of liquor licensing law in the country.

Mr. Fogelman has spent his career representing importers, producers, and distributors of alcoholic beverages; wine and beer wholesalers; liquor wholesalers; owners, operators, franchisors, and franchisees of national hotels; and the owners and operators of restaurants, bars, supermarkets, clubs, stadiums, bodegas, and convenience stores across New York State. His practice also includes counseling alcoholic beverage industry clients on regulatory, contract, and licensing matters.

He has appeared in matters before the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms, the Tax & Trade Bureau of the Department of the Treasury, the New York State Liquor Authority, the New York City Department of Health, the New York City Environmental Control Board, the New York City Department of Consumer Affairs, and various other state alcoholic beverage control and tax agencies.

About My Practice

For the past 40 years, my practice has been largely focused on helping clients involved in the alcohol beverage industry, including bars, restaurants, sellers, resellers, and other industry participants.  During this time, I’ve gained a wealth of experience in representing clients in almost all types of licensing issues and other matters related to alcohol sales.
