Mass. Man Arrested in NY for Sexual Abuse

A Massachusetts man is behind bars after police allege he had sexual contact with a minor in Steuben County.

New York State Police at Bath arrested Adam Sullivan, 38, of Westfield, Massachusetts, following a joint investigation with Steuben County Child Protective Services.

State police charged Sullivan with one count of first-degree sexual abuse, a felony, and endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

Between February and March of 2017, while at a residence in the Town of Avoca, Sullivan subjected a child less than 11 years old to sexual contact, according to investigators.

Sullivan was arraigned in Town of Bath Court and committed to the Steuben County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 property bond.

He will appear in Town of Avoca Court on Wednesday to answer the charges.
