Founded in 2010 by Leonard Fogelman and Matthew J. Fogelman, the firm has grown around a clear promise: deliver sophisticated litigation with small-firm attention. From wage and hour disputes and discrimination matters to serious car, truck, and premises liability cases, as well as wrongful death and catastrophic injuries, we bring the same focus to every file, facts first, client first.
Our employment practice helps workers pursue accountability under state and federal law, whether the issue is disability, gender, race, religion, or LGBTQ discrimination; sexual harassment or assault in the workplace; retaliation; unpaid wages and overtime; or wrongful termination. We guide clients through agency filings and litigation, and we negotiate severance and employment agreements with an eye toward long-term stability.
On the personal-injury side, we represent people hurt in car and motorcycle crashes, pedestrian collisions, slip and fall and other premises incidents, trucking accidents, dog bite cases, and class actions when misconduct harms many at once. We also help families in death cases and catastrophic injuries. Our role is to document the full impact, medical treatment, lost income, and future needs, and then press insurers or defendants for fair value through negotiation or, when necessary, trial.
Leadership matters. Matthew J. Fogelman, the firm’s founding partner, has been recognized for significant trial work, including prevailing before the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court in a ground-breaking disability discrimination case involving an employee’s off-site medical marijuana use, an example of the thoughtful, impact-oriented advocacy we strive to bring to every matter. The firm settled a paralysis case for $11.5 million in 2024, one of the largest settlements in the state that year. The firm has multiple other seven-figure verdicts at trial and settlements.
